Smooth, sophisticated, seductive, no not me, I am not going to tell you about my charms, but those of Carte noir coffee the one I drink in preference to others. A French man Rene Monnier created the Carte noir range in 1978 . The Carte range includes Carte rouge, Carte blue and Carte noir. Carte noir comes in roast and ground beans, or instant, caffeinated or decaffeinated Carte noir is made from Arabica coffee beans The one I am talking about, Instant freeze dried was launched in the UK in 1996 I was introduced to it by a friend at work when I ran out of the coffee in my jar in the staffroom. I have drunk it ever since. The Carte noir is a brand made by Kraft foods it is imported to England by Kenko another of Kraft foods brands. Carte noir comes in a square jar wrapped in a tight fitted plastic label with a gold belt and swirls it is very distinctive. The jar has a twist top that fits nicely in my hand it has an emblem on it Arome absolu. Opening the jar I then pierce the gold foil top to release the deep rich velvety seducing aroma of a fine coffee. Then put a teaspoon full into a cup, (I just shake some straight from the jar into mine I know how much I like to make my preferred strength of coffee) Then I pour on water that has just boiled now I like mine black but you may prefer yours with milk or cream. I then sit down to relax or chat with friends, I find the coffee aroma pleasant and inviting, the taste is smooth not harsh it refreshes and revives me. I tend to drink Carte noir any time of the day except first thing in the morning and at about ½ 4, 5 o?clock I prefer a cup of tea then. Thanks for reading Mary
