Other Detox TeaNewest Review: ... roots (which I like as a drink) are definitely diuretics (I remember dandelions being nicknamed pee the beds as a child). The milk thistle is supposed to be a liver cleanser whilst ginger is great for digestion. The other ingredients such as liquorice root, peppermint and spearmint are there to hopefully make it taste good. Appearance. The tea comes in handy individually wrapped sachets. There are 20 1.7-gram sachets in the box. I find the boxes quite attractive but it has a lot of pseudo philosophical text about how good their teas are. The bags have handy little tabs and long strings so it is easy to dunk your tea in your mug and ... more |

I have been drinking Yogi Bhajan's detox tea for a couple months, I usually have a cup every morning for a week then skip a week then start again the next week. I brew mine with two tea bags to get a good effect. I think the taste is wonderful as is the smell, I really don't know what everyone is complaining about. I can see it upsetting your stomach if you are not used to healthy things. I am a vegetarian and I eat very well and practice yoga and meditation, and I do not find it to be a problem with my stomach or excessive toilet use. If it is rough on your stomach I would suggest giving it a constant use of two weeks and then re-evaluating. I believe detoxing is a very important part of staying healthy.

Yogi detox tea does state that it should not be consumed if pregnant or nursing. Perhaps that was added to the package after the previous review. As for taste, it is fantastic. As for effects, I am consuming my first mug right now, so it's too early to tell. It has a nice floral aroma and I look forward to having more later.

I can be a bit of a fruit and herbal tea junkie at times. I go through phases where I drink gallons of the stuff (alongside water, and hot water with lemon). I suppose it makes me feel saintly and virtuous. I’m going through one of those phases as it is January and I ate far too much rubbish and drank quite a lot of alcohol. One of the boxes of tea I purchased was the detox tea from Dr Stuart’s range of botanical teas. What is it? Doctor Stuart’s Botanical tea is a range of naturally caffeine free pseudo-medicinal herbal teas that have all natural ingredients (there are no flavourings unlike some of the other herbal and fruit tea companies). He ... Read the complete review

DETOX A herbal tea, this has dandelion, burdock, milk thistle, sage and liquorice in it as the main ingredients, and is supposed to be cleansing and detoxify the system. I purchased these for a work colleague who allowed me to try one (along with a few others in the office). One work colleague commented that the ingredients were possibly ?to make you regular? ie resolve constipation. It comes in a black box, with each tea bag in their own envelope, and there are 20 bags in each box. COLOUR This starts off as a light yellow but as you need to leave the bag in for at least 5 (five) minutes it turns to a darker colour, and one comment in the ... Read the complete review

I really can't see the point in paying so much money out for this product. Yogi Bugan's Detox Tea is supposed to be a detoxifying cuppa and I am not saying it doesn't work, but that what it actually does is to increase your need to sit on the toilet, so you had better put some magazines in there to keep you occupied. (If you get my meaning.) It contains allsorts of herbs like licourice, cinnamon, burdock root, dendelion, fennel, juniper and other things. You get 15 teabags for £1.80 . This brew smells nice and you have to let it infuse for about five minutes before you drink it. It's sweet tasting and reasonably pleasant but not suitable for ... Read the complete review
