Advantages: GREAT ALTERNATIVE, REFRESHING, LIGHT

Disadvantages: SOME FLAVOURS BITTER

I'll have a cup of tea and a slice of cake-as Wurzel Gummidge would say!! Brits we must be the worse tea drinkers. We(us brits) think a nice cup of tea will solve everything-just look at pauline fowler from eastenders!
When we here bad news, have a friend round, feeling tired and worn out, fed up - what do we do - yes you've guessed it we stick the kettle on.

Now things are much more interesting and we have a wide variety of teas to choose from. Fruit teas are a great alternative to the traditional cuppa! New flavours are popping up all the time and it seems that every possible fruit is now included.

We started off with the choice of peppermint or maybe blackcurrant but now we have more exotic fruits.

A favourite of mine is Raspberry, strawberry and loganberry. What a fantastic combination. Great for a summers day, the taste is sensational and doesn't bloat you up like the more traditional teas can do. The aroma is also lovely -no more need for air freshners when you keep making these.

Fruit teas are great for people on diets as there are no calories in them and make a great alternative to water, as most diets nowadays say to include lots of water and if you don't like water on its own like many preople don't you could try these instead.

They can be drank hot or cold! Most people are probabley thinking UGGGGGGHHHHHH right now but honestly don't knock something until you've tried it, you might be surprised.

Other popular flavours include: blackcurrant, apple, mango and nectarine, peppermint, raspberry, red berries, lemon and many many more.

A great place to take these teas, is to work as you don't need to take any milk with you and as the teabags are mainly individually wrapped they are very hygenic and you can also keep one in your handbags.

Final word of warning: i have been asked a question about these teas many times and her is the answer:

YOU DO
N'T HAVE MILK WITH THEM

Interesting write-up. I'm a big fan of herbal and fruit infusions (as I prefer to call them to differentiate them from fruit-flavoured real tea, which are also very popular). Peppermint is my current favourite as it is excellent as a digestion aid as well! Also, lemon and grapefruit from Sainsbury's. The Twining's shop on the Strand is just 2 minutes walk from my office so it's a bit of a temptation!

My son (who is now 2 years old) has been drinking herbal teas since he was 10 months old! He loves them and they are very good for him as there is no sugar to damage his teeth! Excellent op by the way!
