Advantages: Zero Sugar, Maximum Taste, Often on Promotion

Disadvantages: Not healthy per say.

This is in my opinion, the nicest of all of the Pepsi products, though I still would rather drink Coca Cola or Coca Cola Zero. It is totally sugar free and instead Acesulfame potassium is coupled with aspartame to provide the product with it's sweetness. I love the bottle label, with it's navy blue, black, red and white colour scheme, very attractive and recogniseable and the drink tastes extremely good - certainly a rival to Coke Zero.

Pepsi Max has been around in the UK since 1993. It is available in cans, 500ml bottles and large 2L bottles - it can be picked up at pretty much any supermarket or newsagents and is also available in vending machines across the country. It is without a doubt best served chilled. I find that Pepsi Max is often the subject of promotional offers in places like the Co op or superdrug and have frequently purchased the 500ml version as part of a buy one get one free offer.

I would describe the taste as very pleasing, not too thin like Diet Pepsi/Coke, but quite similiar to the regular heavily sugared version of the drink. I definately agree with the "Maximum Taste" advertisment published on the label while it can proudly boast being sugar free. It does contain aspartame and there is of course a controversial opinion on the health implications of this particular sweetner, although that is a topic for a whole other debate.

Nutritional information is as follows:

I am curious to try the new Pepsi Max twist, which at this time I know absoloutely nothing about.

Summary: I am a big fan.

They should make a version with minimum taste and maximum sugar - just for a laugh :)
