Advantages: Tastes quite nice
Disadvantages: Too gassy
I normally stick to water but when my hubby offered me a bit of his Pepsi Max yesterday, I couldn't resist. It was really cold and I was dead thirsty and to top it all off, I had forgotton my bottle of water!
Pepsi Max is sugar free and fat free and although it contains one calorie per bottle, it still contains sweeteners so for all of you who are 'aspartame haters' then this isn't for you!
I am not keen on fizzy drinks and much prefer my coke when it's gone flat so I was taken back when I took my first sip. It was really, really fizzy, much more than any other drink that I have had in the last few months. I was actually 'wincing' and if I had, had a bottle of water then I may well of spat this out and discontinued drinking it. After one sip, I really needed to belch but I was in a public place so it wouldn't have been deemed appropriate.
When it comes to taste I felt that it had quite a depth to it and made Diet Coke seem as if it is watered down or something. When the coke had gone flat, I really enjoyed drinking it.
Now lets skip forward some eight hours or so and I am waking up in the night with awful pains in my tummy. I was hurting a lot and there was no doubt that it was trapped wind which I think was from drinking the coke.
I wouldn't drink this again despite quite enjoying the taste. It doesn't agree with my body which it seems, is too purified to drink anything other than water!
Summary: Not for me thank you
