I love tea but due to the fact that I am pregnant I have now switched to decaf tea for the time being. I love the taste of normal tea so was quite worried that any decaf I did choose was not going to taste as good or taste like something was missing. The normal tea that I drink is PG tips to I was anxious to see if they did a decaf variety. I use the pyramid tea bags for convenience so was also hoping that they did a variety in decaf too. I was happy to find that yes, PG tips do do a decaf tea bags variety. PG Tips is a brand of tea, produced in the United Kingdom and it's my favourite brand of tea. I like it because it has a nice, ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Decaffeinate your day! (420 words)

I drink an awful lot of tea through the day, I sleep terribly but as I rarely drink coffee I didn't give a thought to the caffeine contained in my numerous daily cuppa's. It was during a general health check that my consultant decided he wanted a quick run down of my eating and drinking habits so he could see if there was anything that could be eliminated from my diet to aid various health problems. The one thing he picked up on straight away was the amount of tea I drink, he's an avid tea lover himself and recommended I try PG Tips Decaffeinated teabags as those are the ones he drinks himself. He assured me there is very little difference between the taste ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Can't think of anything remotely witty for a headline! (293 words)

I don't often drink decaf tea myself, but my sister does, so I bought some decaf teabags in especially for when she visits. The first thing difference I noticed from ordinary teabags came during the brewing of the tea. The decaf teabags take twice as long as ordinary teabags to brew to a decent strength and take a lot more stirring and squeezing of the bag in order to release the flavour. Once the extended brewing time is over, we get to the most important thing which is the taste. And in all honesty I couldn't tell the difference between the caffeinated and the decaffeinated tea. I often like to have the odd cuppa without milk and just with a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review PG Tips Pyramid Decaffeinated Teabags: The best decaffeinated tea available, I reckon (214 words)

My hubby is hypoglycaemic (not sure if I've spelt that right!) which means that his sugar levels (ie energy levels) can be unstable, and things like sugar and caffeine can provoke a sudden drop in blood sugar. He is also a tea-lover, and like me cannot start the day without a nice cup of builders' brew. So what can he drink during the rest of the day (especially as he hates herbal teas)? We have tried and re-tried many different brands of decaffeinated tea, and have found again and again that PG Tips' provide the most tea-like version. There is a slight bitterness to normal tea which all caffeine-free teas lack, making it taste almost sweet, an ...  Read the complete review
