... all tea making the essential stage is to have a scalding hot tea pot, so pre-heated with boiling water, water back in the kettle, four bags dropped in the pot, scalding hot water back in the pot and quickly covered with a tea-cosy. It must then stand for at least five minutes. You can give the teabags a stir but definitely do not press the bags, that seems to spoil the taste. At this dilution it pours as a nice clear tan colour and smells good. I find it pleasantly refreshing, a very clean taste, no cloying, no after-...more

Premium Review PG Tips Teabags: Would you like a cuppa? (434 words)
by - written on 02/03/08 (Very useful, 77 readings)

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is make a nice cup of tea. I use Tetley and PG Tips but PG Tips are my favourite because they give more taste in the finished drink. PG Tips teabags are pyramid shaped which allows the leaves to move and swirl freely when water is poured over them. I sometimes use a teapot and think this gives an even nicer flavour to my tea. depending on how long I leave my tea to brew for I will either end up with a weak cup which has a delicate tea flavour or a stronger cuppa which has a robust taste. I like my tea quite strong so usually leave the teabag in the cup for about 3 minutes which I think makes it ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review My Tip for tea (207 words)

I'm more of an occasional tea drinker rather than someone who drinks it all the time and to be honest I woul rather be supping a Long Island Iced Tea any time of the day but some how people look at you funny, and with a rather concerned expression if you start drinking that with your cornflakes. The most common brand of tea I tend to stock is good old PG Tips, mainly because it was the one my Mum used to buy so I guess my tatse buds have become used toit over the years. I ignore all of those new fancy fruit flavours, exotic brands and different designs of bag in favour of something I know and trust. Something I can relate to and know that the ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review PG Tips Teabags: PG tips and monkeys (153 words)

We oftern get pg tips on special offer and there seem to be a lot of these two for one deals on it. At the moment you can get a box with a cuddly monkey and a tea towel for about three pounds. I liked the monkeys on the advert but apparently they stopped these adverts becaus it was cruel. My main problem with pg tips is that it isn't as strong as other teas and I find that sometimes I have to use two teabags to get a decent cup and always three for a whole teapot. When you do make it though it always tastes good and it is smooth and not bitter. It tastes good with milk but I find it can have dry taste when I make it without sometimes. I will carry ...  Read the complete review

I have been drinking tea for all of my life, and guess I consume an awful lot of the stuff! Indeed my half pint mug sits happily next to me providing the comfort and companionship of a close friend as I type the initial words of this, my latest review, which on the new PG Tips Freeflow Pyramid Teabags. This review also includes some information on the health value of tea and the answer to the milk first of second question Now I do admit to enjoying a couple of speciality teas from time to time. However like many of us, the convenience of the tea bag provides the ?flavour source? most of the time and after trying many brands, I have settled on PG Tips by ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review PG Tips Teabags: The Monkeys Know Best (942 words)

Slurp! Hold on, just spilt my tea down my best jumper. Bugger it. Where are those tissues? Hmm, don’t have any tissues. Better nip out to the kitchen and get a cloth then. There… that’s better. Now, where were we? Nowhere? Ah, right… I hadn’t got started. Well I was going to talk about PG Tips before the spillage occurred, so I suppose I might as well carry on. Evidently, 165 million cups of tea are consumed every day in the UK. I don’t know how the Brooke Bond people know this, but that’s what they’re saying. I probably drink 1 of those. In other words, I’m not a huge tea drinker. In fact, unless ...  Read the complete review
