... they are quite a new brewery started in 1992 by a man called Martyn Wilkins he was originally a pub landlord. The name of the brewery and the beers come from an old children's nursery rhyme which was popular in the Wyre Piddle Village. The other beers from this brewery Piddle in the Dark. Piddle in a Hole. My hubby and I were visiting old friends in Cheshire last weekend and took them out for a meal to a superb pub near Crewe called 'The White Lion.' The venue was suggested by our friends so we all piled into a taxi to have a few beers and a slap up meal. On arrival our friend Ted asked me if I would like a 'Piddle in the Wind' before studying the menu, I was a bit taken aback because although he has a sense of humour he isn't normally so outright.
