HEY........WHERE'S THE PLJ GONE!!!! (PLJ Lemon Juice)

Advantages: Gives you your vitamin C and has a lovely sharp taste that !

Disadvantages: Hide it as everyone will want to drink it!!

A couple of weeks ago I decided to pop to Tesco's to see if I could find a different cordial for me to try, as all the others at home drink blackcurrant, tropical, orange, cherry ect.. which I don't like. Even though they are supposed to be low sugar or diet ones I still find them to sweet and sickly and I can't stand it with just a touch of cordial in as still tastes watery.

So while searching along the shelves I suddenly saw an old favourite from long ago.This was PLJ ( stands for Pure Lemon Juice!) my mum used to swear by this when she was on a diet. Which was many times during my childhood even though she was not fat, proberly why I have such hang ups about my weight as everyone says I'm not but I think I am!

Well back to the PLJ this was known at that time that if you drank this on a daily basis and watched what you ate, then you would lose weight and be skinny forever!!

So thinking that Mother always knows right, I quickly grabbed a bottle and thought well know one else will like this so it will last me for ages and I will lose weight as well what a bonus!

Now this comes in a slim glass bottle which is clear and you can see the yellow lemon juice inside.With a small yellow lid that unscrews easily. The idea is that you pour 1 part PLJ to 4 parts water, so this should give you 20 servings from this small bottle! Great I thought as if I have 2 a day that will last me 10 days (I was good at maths at school!)Now how wrong could I be because I hadn't bought it before everyone wanted to try it. I managed to get 3 glasses before it was gone as everyone like it!.

This has a very sharp taste and really gets your tastebuds tingling, I really love this drink and try to hide it when I replace it as it is the only drink I like and at £1.57 for 500ml it is a bit on the pricey side to drink several glasses a day ( and the others like every cordial under the sun so they have a lot more to choose from, this once I will be selfish!).

A 25ml of PLJ will give 75% of the recommended daily amount of vitamin C so is good for you in that way as well.
Also you can use this as you would use pure lemon juice and pour it over your salads or marinades, so it is very versatile to have anyway in the cupboard.

I can't say I noticed any difference in my weight though, so a bit more excerise is needed there!

5 stars for this as it tastes like real lemon juice and not something out of a bottle!
