Advantages: Good taste
Disadvantages: Does nothing else.
I don't normally go for the gimmick of sports drinks being good for you after you have performed because "they replace certain fluids and rehydrate your body" because there has been reports that just plain water is as good for you.
But i saw a 4 pack of these Powerade Cherry flavour drink in my local pound shop (for a pound!!) recently and decided to give it a go. I play football twice a week, so i thought i'd see what all the fuss was about.
All i can say was i didn't really see much difference after the game. I didn't feel any better than normal for drinking it rather than water, except the flavour was obviously nicer, and i'd rather drink this than a fizzy lucozade drink as that doesn't really sit well on the stomach like flatter drinks do.
I much prefer the flat lucozade sports drinks to anything else, as these are nicer and do feel like they help you after a workout.
If i saw a four pack of these for a pound again, then i may possibly buy them, but any more than that and i wouldn't really bother.
Summary: Good if you can find it cheap, but if not, then don't bother!

- 30/07/09 It gets one star because it doesn't help in any way, the clue is in the title "Power-ade", but it didn't aid power at all. For 25p a bottle it's not too bad, cheaper than a can of fizzy drink, but it doesn't do the job it's supposed to do. All i said was i wouldn't pay full price for it! |

- 29/07/09 whats it nutritional values? what does it claim? If it has a good taste why's it just 1 star? Surely the taste alone is more worthy than a single star, especially when you paid effectively 25p a bottle |
