Powers Gold Label Irish Whiskey

Ye friend, ,you've found it! This is excellent whisky(whiskey?) for the price. I just got one for $16.99US here in Maryland, USA. This Irish whisky is better than some scotches costing twice as much! You've got to try it! Now some Scotches can leacve you breathless, not so with Irish whiskeys. For the money even here in the US it's better than Jack Daniels. I was introduced to Irish Whisky through Bushmills, but now I say Powers is superior, with a lower price to boot. Powers seems to be widely available in the United States. I have to confess that I used to be undeservedly prejudiced against Irish Whiskey. After all, it isn't the "real" thing is it? Nothing more than official poteen. That was some 25 years ago. At that time I worked for a UK insurance company and was the Chairman of the local branch of the staff union. Every month the Chairmen of all the branches would meet for an Executive Meeting.
