Real, refreshing mintiness (Pukka Peppermint Licorice and Rose Tea)
Member Name: vanillawinegum
Advantages: Great flavour, good for digestion Disadvantages: Many supermarkets don't stock it - you'll need to go to a health shop
A lot of mint teas have a kind of flat, "cardboard-y" texture, if you know what I mean; there's a dullness to the flavour, which is probably to do with a lack of freshness. The natural mintiness fades very quickly and loses its zest once it's dried. This is a shame, especially as mint is well known to be great for the digestion and if you fancy a hot drink after a heavy meal that doesn't interfere with your gut's ability to absorb vital minerals from your food such as iron (yes, both tea and coffee have this effect), then you'll know mint tea is perfect. Summary: A smoother, more rounded version of mint herbal tea |
