Now I'm no wine connaisseur, let's make that clear, but after ten years or so of drinking some very good (and some very bad!) red wines, I'd like to feel I have some idea on what's hot and what's not. This is 'hot'! This Zinfandel comes from a fabulous grape which is left to ripen slightly longer before being harvested. In fact it heads more towards the 'turning leaf' wines from other vineyards although isn't quite in the same vein as sat the EJ&G Turning Leaf, or a Vendange, both excellent late harvest wines.
