Advantages: all natural

Disadvantages: at a price

I have seen this product in many local shops at a hugely inflated price. I don't like paying over 60p for a can and even then I go to a local freezer shop where you get 4 or 5 cans for £1!!

But, imagine my joy when I saw it on sale for 2 cans for £1 today. Time to try. It was nicely chilled thanks to the local supermarket and I would say that's the only way to drink anything fizzy. It's called simply cola. I guess that sums it up. It is cola and it uses natural ingredients with the exception of the carbon dioxide. It's amazing wha goes into cols and I reckon that as a drinker of better known brands I have a taste of what cola should taste like. This does not taste like them, perhaps because it uses natural ingredients.

The taste is a little bit raw. It reminds me of soda stream cola from the 1980's or cola from the self serve machine. Is it a bad taste? No, it is refreshing and a nice change from red bull. This is not a heavily caffeine laced product. It has 0.013% from coffee beans. The good news here is that you can drink more than regular Red Bull energy drink.

The packaging is in keeping with its sister product and the bullring pull is in red. It is aesthetically pleasing and does not try to compete with the likes of Pepsi or Coca Cola. Instead it keeps its tall thin can although it has more in it than Red Bull. In fact it has a little more than a standard can. Potential snag here is that most cup holders in cars etc...are suited for the regular short fat cans.

All this aside, the product is a refreshing alternative to main stream brands. It's down to taste at the end of the day. The downside is the price. Regular price varies from shop to shop starting at £1 a can to £1.50. I got it at 2 for a £1 and would not buy it again unless this or a better price was offered.

Summary: it might not have wings but the price is too high
