Advantages: Tastes pretty nice

Red Bull is certainly the most popular energy/stimulation/legal high drink on the market, at least within this country, although I'm not entirely sure why this is the case.

The taste of Red Bull is perhaps the only reason I, personally, would drink it, and then only when on offer or given to me for free - I'm weird, but energy drinks all taste great to me. I enjoy the fruitiness, as well as the slight kick mixed in with it.

However, I don't recall ever feeling energised after drinking Red Bull. Not once. I certainly don't remember ever sprouting wings. The taurine and high caffeine content just doesn't seem to do anything at all.

I would therefore probably head for cheaper imitations before purchasing Red Bull in a shop - Red Devil, Red Shock, Red Red Red all taste exactly the same and cost, what, 29p? A far better deal in my opinion.

Futhermore, you don't get a particularly large amount for the rather expensive price, unlike competitors like Rockstar which offer far more bang for your buck (and actually taste better too).

To summarise, Red Bull is all well and good, as long as you don't plan on feeling too energised and as long as you receive it for a great deal less than the RRP.

Summary: A tasty, though overpriced and overhyped, beverage
