Advantages: Can do what it says on the tin, short term energy

Disadvantages: the come downs the shakes and cramps that i experienced

in the past i was an energy drink freak, i loved them , i loved the way they made me feel and most of all i loved the energy they gave me specially red bull.

========this is my red bull story===========

Red Bull where do i start... when i was younger i remember when energy drinks first came on the scene and i was fasinated by them. Red bull was and still is advertised as "red bull gives you wings" and the first few cans i had really didnt lift me or amaze me. It was only when i was working in a hectic job that i seriously got involved with red bull. And god knows how many cans i consumed that way (after spending a small fortune) but one day i understood what all the hype was about , i was mega alert running everywhere doing my job and all my tiredness faded away !. that was untill a few hours later when i crashed and felt sluggish and tired ratty and irritated untill i had my next can the next day. And for me drinking red bull became a way of life for me for some years. I realised over time i wasnt eating like i used to because the sugars and taurine in the red bull sort of filled me up and my appetite went down hill. I realised i was companstating food for red bull.
In the end the red bull was seriously damaging my health i started getting cramps in my hands the headaches started (i think mainly the headaches was due to lack of real food) my stomach didnt feel right and without red bull i would crash and get shakey and irritated.
I actually think the odd can of red bull wouldnt do most people harm, my problem was i abused it and like most things in life too much is bad for you (everything in moderation).
Im not free of red bull and have not had a can in ages and i defo dont want to go back to drinking it, for me it had vile effects on my mind and general well being and health.

Red bull contains alot of chemicals most cling on to essential amino acids in the body, has a very high caffine content 32mg/100mls and also contains taurine that claims to "perk you up" and reduce fatigue. Tauine has never been proved to do any of these things like caffine does and why they put it in the drink i really dont know, im convinced it was the taurine that gave me the cramps in my hands because the cramps stopped when i gave up the drink but i still drink coffee like a fish and that contains caffine.

I really can understand why people enjoy drinking red bull , for a time i did, but it didnt come without its downside,
My advice is to treat red bull with respect. There are a few countries in the world that are talking about banning this drink due to health reasons, i dont know if banning it is a good idea or not but this drink clearly didnt do me any good in the long run

Defo a drink to consume in moderation

Summary: one can a year ok i guess lol but not for me
