Relentless Energy Drink!

Relentless is a branded energy drink which was first created in 2006 by the Coca-Cola Company. There are currently an increasing number of energy drinks being sold in our shops as the public demand for these is greater then ever. Red Bull has led this sector for years, selling over 4 billion cans in 2006, but is now being over taken by rival brands.

These energy drinks are used to stimulate you brain and boost your energy for sports. They also make you feel more wide awake and have a similar, but much more dramatic, effect as coffee. The reason for this is because each can of Relentless contains 160mg of caffeine as well as the stimulant we regularly use, sugar. Here is a full list of the ingredients: Carbonated Water, Sugar, Citric Acid, Taurine (0.4%), Glucuronolactone (0.24%), Acidity Regulator (E331), Colour (Caramel E150d), Favourings, Preservative (E202), Caffeine, Inositol, Vitamins (Niacin, Pantothenic Acid, B6, B12), Guarana.

Although there are currently many energy drinks on the market such as Red bull I much prefer Relentless as it has a much fruiter and sweeter taste which is a more distinctive and desired flavour.

It also comes in much larger cans of 500ml unlike the smaller cans of Red Bull which only hold 250ml, half of a can of relentless which make its much better value for money.

Compared to many other stimulant drinks like its self it is also much cheaper, for instance Red Bull usually costs around £1.40 where as Relentless retails at £1.09, you also have to take into consideration the size differences.

In my opinion Relentless is a superb flavourful energy drink ideal for those with high energy needs. I usually have one in the morning before school which prepares me for the all day. Due to the high levels of caffeine and sugar I would not recommend this product to people with high blood pressure, children or pregnant women.

Summary: Great energy drink which prepares me for the whole day ahead of me!
