Relentless has been my energy drink of choice since I first tried it, and it seems to have gained much deserved popularity since.
Like many, I was annoyed by the overpriced, undersized cans of red bull, and in those days the only energy drinks available in large containers were rather insipid supermarket own-brand rip-offs of same.
The market was definitely there for a premium energy drink in a large can, and it certainly delivers. It's flavour is a little different from red bull, it is less syrupy and a little less flavourful, but is also far nicer than the cheap supermarket brands it replaces.
Since relentless has arrived, there have been other contenders, such as Rockstar and Monster, but both of these have sacrificed flavour in order to compete with relentless' relatively low price.

Relentless is worth shopping around for though- the price can vary hugely, and there are often special offers. If you can find it for roughly £1, you're doing well, and blowing the (still) overpriced red bull out of the water.

Summary: By far the best choice on the energy drink market at the moment.
