Advantages: Tasty, cheap. Good for teeth
Disadvantages: None
I have always been a huge fan of Ribena. It is one of those drinks that brings back the child in all of us, and now my kids love it too.
Recently I have started to buy the Really Light Ribena for my son who is four as I do sometimes worry about the sugar in his diet.
Ribena light comes in the same cartons, bottles etc as the normal Ribena, still has the same great Ribena taste, however it has absolutely no added sugar!
It is rich in Vitamin C and claims to be a powerful antioxidant.
I usually buy him the 500ml bottles when we are out and about, and one of the things I like the best is that the back of the bottle is jam packed with information about the product.
This product is great for kids as it is tooth-friendly, has no sugar or arteficial colours and contains all real fruit juice. It is made in the UK and Ireland, with fruit from the UK and Ireland, contains about 20 calories and a trace of salt per 500mls and absolutely no fat.
All packaging is recyclable and Ribena also work in partnership with The Wildlife Trusts, helping the environment.
The ingredients are.....
Water, lackcurrents, malic acid, acidity regulators, vitamin c, sweetners, citric acid, stabiliser.....
No E Numbers!!!!
Prices vary on this product depending on the type you buy, but there are always special offers and even without offers it is relatively cheap.
They have a website www.ribena.com where even more information is available about this great product.
All in all, this great drink has stood the test of time and is loved by all young and old. I cant wait for the summer to enjoy cool glasses of Ribena on sunny hot days!
Summary: Great drink for anyone over the age of 3!
