Advantages: It's tasty, quality .. rich in vitamin C!

Disadvantages: It's expensive!

Thanks to my Dad whenever I'm ill I stock up on lucozade and the must have Ribena - I love fruit squashes and juices but Ribena has always been a luxury squash to me.

Ribena comes in various sized bottles, all being plastic and see through so you can see the deep, dark purple concentrated squash inside. Each bottle has a golden screw off cap, but a safety ring pull underneath when you first buy it. There is a lighter purple sticker on the bottle telling us it's Ribena Blackcurrant as well as telling us it's Rich in Vitamin C and a powerful Antioxidant - hence the reason my dad always buys it when he's ill especially.

Ribena contains;
No Artificial colours flavours or sweeteners
Real Fruit Juice

A 250ml diluted serving contains;
115 calories
27.8g sugars
nil fat
nil saturates
salt trace

For a squash Ribena in my opinion is very thick, extremely sweet and fruity - it doesn't lose any of this though when it's been diluted.

Adding water to the squash only strengthens it's qualities and you can taste the thickness, the fruity richness is stunning and it's again very sweet although a very refreshing drink whether it's cold or not. Due to the fruity intensity of this drink a little goes along way in a glass, it's not your typical squash that you use a little and it produces a weak drink but if you use too much it can be a little overwhelming and way too sweet. Just use a little of this in the bottom of your glass and allow yourself to drink a stunningly smooth and sweet fruity squash that's refreshingly fruity, tasty and delicious.

Sometimes you do have to pay for quality though and I find Ribena is quite a pricey drink but it is definitely worth every penny. I usually buy the smallest bottles in my local newsagents and they cost around £2 whereas if I was buying a different brand the same sized bottle would cost around a £1.

Summary: A stunningly fruity squash!
