Advantages: Tastes so refreshing

Disadvantages: Very pricey

After just coming out of hospital and still recovering from a major stomach operation i have decided to take a healthier approach to my life, and looking back at the amount of fizzy drinks i used to consume i am disgusted with myself.
Whilst in hospital and being nil by mouth for a few days and only allowed 'sips' of water i was over the moon when my doctor declared that i could finally start drinking properly again. Although instead of sending my partner down to the coffee shop to grab me a can of coke, i just really fancied some Ribena which did seem strange considering that i hadn't touched the stuff for years.
My partner came back with the little cartons that you can get, and my first sips were heaven, it felt so refreshing and needless to say that the carton didn't last that long.

That was three weeks ago and since then i havent touched a drop of any fizzy drink and have been addicted to Ribena, not just the Blackcurrant flavour but also the strawberry and apple!
Now Ribena has been around for many many years now and is a popular favourite in any household. Claiming to be high in vitimin c and have powerful antioxidants, this is really a great healthy refreshing drink to have.

I prefer buying the bottles that you have to dilute because you can control the ratio of juice and water to your liking, as to be honest i find the cartons sometimes to be slightly too strong and too have a sickley taste to them.
I like my ribena ice cold, but i have heard of some people having hot ribena which is supposed to help with colds etc, so i will have to try that method if needed in the future.

I think the only downside to my beloved ribena is the cost!! The cheapest i have found is around £2.00 per bottle but that was on offer and normally it was around £2.92 per bottle, which does seem alot compared to other juice drinks but i suppose you are getting a good quality drink. I did try a supermarket's own brand once, but it didn't taste half as good as the proper thing.

Summary: You can't beat it!!
