Advantages: A very tasty refreshing fruity drink Lovely!!!

Disadvantages: None

Now while out on Saturday I got very excited when once again I was in my 99p shop when I found the bargain of the week. It was these Robinsons Be Natural cordials on offer for 99p B.O.G.O.F. making them around the 50p mark per bottle. Now I first spotted these bottles in Asda back in May, when my Son was rushed to hospital and kept in for a few days( they didn't know if he had Meningitis, Glandular Fever ot Scarlet Fever!!)for tests. I went to get him some drinks to have at his bedside when I noticed these at £1.75 a bottle, I picked up one as they looked nice and healthy, when I noticed that once opened they have to be kept in the fridge. So this was no good, as in a hospital enviroment there is no access to a fridge, so I chose something else.

Now they only had the Robinsons Be Natural in 2 flavours (they do 3 in total) so I picked up one of each, Orange & Passionfruit and Apple & Strawberry. The other flavour they do is Blackcurrant & Pear which sounds good.

So what is the natural part, well it is that they contain no artificial colours, flavours, preservatives or sweetners. Now these come in a 600ml. plastic bottle, which should give you 17 servings. The Orange & Passionfruit is the first one that we opened and tried. This bottle has a clear plastic lid that has engraved on the top of it "Keep me in the fridge", but I must say I didn't notice this until after I had poured out quite a few more glasses it's not particularly that clear to read.

On unscrewing the lid you will find a very strong orange smell, almost like that of fresh orange juice. Then pour a little into a glass and top up with water( 1 part juice to 6 parts water). Well what a lovely refreshing drink, The first thing that hits you is the natural tasting flavour of the drink, with it's true taste of fruit. This drink actually reminds me of the OASIS drinks that you can buy in the shops, it's sometimes nice to have a still drink rather than a sparkling one!

This Orange and Passionfruit per 250ml serving contains;

~~~Calories 76~~~
~~~Sugar 19g~~~
~~~Fat trace~~~
~~~Saturate 0~~~
~~~Salt 0~~~
With the ingredients being;
~~~Water~~~
~~~Natural Sugar~~~
~~~Lemon Juice from concentrate (26% as a natural acidulant)~~~
~~~Fruit Juice from concentrate Orange(3%),Passionfruit(3%)~~~
~~~Natural Passionfruit & Orange flavourings~~~
~~~Natural Colour (carotenes)~~~
~~~Stabiliser (Pectin from Apples)~~~

Once opened as I said before this must be kept in the fridge and will keep for 3 weeks, always shake well before using. On opening the Apple & Strawberry we wasn't dissappointed as this was equally fruity with a very strong apple and strawberry smell. On searching high and low I finally discovered the sell by date which is Nov 09, so this is why I got these so cheap in the first place, but at least I've had the chance to try these for a good price and now if I see these on special I will definitely be buying these again. I wouldn't pay the full price which I think now is around £1.25 in Tesco's as this is quite a small size bottle and it wouldn't last long in my house, but I will be going back to my 99p shop to stock up on some more to last us through until the sell by date!!

Nice and fruity so I am going to give it 5 stars!

Summary: A lovely drink that makes a change from the usual squashes that are about!!
