This would disappoint ToxicTerry (Rotmistrz Super Strong Beer)

Advantages: Pleasantly acceptable in smell and taste

Disadvantages: It's still not ambrosial

For every few normal people there is a hammerhead and most breweries recognise this, Rotmistrz decided to go a step further on their Mocny beer and go for a Super Mocny (Super Strong), it's actually not that overpowering as the name would suggest and the alcohol content is only 8% and doesn't compare to the likes of Karpackie Super Mocny, Carlsberg Special Brew, Skullsplitter, Baltica 9 or any number of other lethal brews.

From the initial view of the bottle, there was something more sinister about it, it had a darker more perturbing look to it than the bright green or Rotmistrz mocny. In fact to my suprise, it was actually quite tasty and didn't have the sweet petrol flavour of chemical induced radio active dishwater.

It poured an ambery colour with a smaller head than many of it's fellow range, tasted slightly sweet but had a good healthy malty flavour, although alcohol dominated there was also a distinct hops flavour, the smell was more than bearable - I would say it was even nice. With 14.5% extract, they certainly did their best to disguise the flavour of the alcohol and actually produced a nice beer which is not perfect but is miles away from tramp juice.

Summary: A decent cheap strong beer that's not out to kill!
