Ok, guava lovers out there (there must be some) sit back and listen. Rubicon, the young pretender to the drinks market ruled by the crusty Coke and Pepsi governors have produced a range of fizzy(ish) drinks which actually taste great, in particular this guava infusion. What exactly is a guava? Well it's a tropical fruit from the caribbean and S America which has a very unique taste. Thus when this fruit is munched up to produce this drink (and yes, it contains a more than average real fruit juice to fizzy rubbish ratio) the flavour is unique and quite refreshing.

Rubicon drinks come in three flavours, this one, mango and lychee (plus a believe they do a still variety in cartons) and though guava is very tasty, personally I think the mango variant hits the spot better. Generally this drink is found in the fridge section of small corner shops (often next to other such nonconformist drinks as Old Jamaican Ginger Beer and weird cans of 'Nourishment' energy drinks) and you should be able to get it by spending less than 60p. Supermarkets do stock it, often in the ethnic food area.

This drink, though still full of sugar, is very good at quenching thirst. There is no diet variety so do be careful if you get addicted to Rubicon, as well you may!
