A taste of the tropical (Rubicon Guava Juice Drink)

I had never come across a Guava & had no idea what one was until I saw this drink in an indian restaurant. It was highly recommended by the waiter so with nothing to loose, I thought I'd give it a try.

I was extremely impressed, it had quite a sweet flavour and tasted tropical in flavour. It complimented the indian meal I was having at the time very well. I tried the fizzy version, but there is also a still version available which is just as nice with less of an edge to it.

My local Sainsbury's stock a range of the other drinks on offer by Rubicon so I have also sampled some of their other offering like the Passion Fruit & Mango varieties, both again available in fizzy or still form. I have to say I have fallen in love with the fizzt mango one & now have to buy it regularly, it's just so lush.

The only downside is they are quite expensive to buy being a sort of niche I guess. A single fizzy can will set you back around 40-50p with sill cartons offering slightly better value at around £1.50. However I think they are worth every penny & refreshing change from the normal drinks out there.
