It Smells Like Body Odour (Sainsbury's Basics Apple & Blackcurrant Squash)
Member Name: adamp111
Advantages: 'Better for the environment' Disadvantages: Worse value, smells like BO
Beware the all new Sainsbury's Basics Apple & Blackcurrant squash. Recently, Sainsbury's have replaced the old 1 litre bottles with 'new and improved' 1.5 litre bottles; their argument being that this uses less packaging and needs fewer lorries on the road, and as a result, it's good for the environment. Surely less packaging and fewer lorries should mean it's cheaper? Since the pence per 100ml has increased from 1.8 to 3.5, this obviously isn't the case. You can, allegedly, get twice as many drinks from it, but this a) isn't practically the case, and b) doesn't justify doubling the price (per 100ml) when materials and logistics should be reduced. Summary: A lesser reincarnation of a greater product |
