Advantages: Perfect taste - not too sweet or bitter, at 56p you can't go wrong.

Disadvantages: High sugar content - so have it with your breakfast and be sure to brush your teeth after.

This is 'Sainsburys' finest apple juice, brought to you for just 56p and probably the best tasting value for money apple juice you can buy!

The packaging isn't anything special, and is part of 'Sainsburys' 'basics' range. They don't need to put time into the packaging because you know what you are getting, or at least are made to believe by the average Joe in the street that the 'basics' range is cheap, low quality products that are as good as the price you pay for them.

Well I disagree.

People may choose these just because they are watching their shopping bill, personally I don't care about the price, I buy this apple juice because it's the best tasting juice in 'Sainsburys'. Some alternative products offer juice that is too sweet, or too bitter. Too thick, too bitty, or two weak, well for me this gets it just right.

The taste is strong but not overpowering and having had a glass you don't get that strong after taste that makes you wish you hadn't bothered to drink it in the first place. In additional it's not watered down and has a good concentration which is what makes the taste so good.

As far as being good for me, it counts towards my five-a-day so when I have a carton open it usually lasts a few days before I reach for another. I'd have to say you get about six tumbler glasses out of this juice so be sure to drink it within it's use by, or consume within date so you don't waste this great tasting juice!

Per 100ml there's just 44 calories, so it will go great with a diet or for anyone that just loves apple juice. The fat content is at 0.1g so this is noting to worry about and salt is just a trace. However, the sugar content is quite high which surprises me seeing as it didn't come through in the taste. Per 100ml there's 10.4g. We can all be conscious of the sugar in our foods, so as I like to enjoy this drink, and will continue to drink it, I tend to have it with my breakfast and be sure to brush my teeth after to reduce the effects of the sugar in the drink. This way I don't feel bad for drinking it.

On the whole you can't really get apple juice better tasting than this and for so cheap! Stock up now, because if it isn't opened it's still go a month or so before it has to be consumed, just keep it in a moderately cool place.

Summary: The best apple juice you can buy! 'Sainsburys' own is the way to go.
