Lemonade with NO lemon, NO fizz just a bad taste in your mouth (Sainsbury's Basics Lemonade)

As someone who is watching the pennies a 2 litre bottle of lemonade for 18p was quite a bargin i thought. I had used other supermarket "value" brands and found them acceptable so saw no reason to think that Sainsbury's would be different.

How wrong can one person be!!! This has to be one of the weakest lemonades i have ever tasted.

The minimal fizz that there was soon disappeared the further down the bottle you went. The lemon taste was non existant and after drinking i was left with a disgusting bitter aftertaste in my mouth.

My other half doesn't like lemonade on it's own as he say's all he can taste is carbonated water, which i could never understand UNTIL i tasted Sainsburys poor excuse. I now know exactly what he means as this tastes like regular fizzy water and an inferior one at that as the fizz disappeared. I suspect it ran off with the lemons

After the first glass i could no longer drink this on it's own and resorted to mixing it with lime cordial. In saying this i even had to add more than i normally do just to get an acceptable taste.

I would steer clear of this and would recommend trying another cheap brand as this one is dire. I agree that 9p a litre is appealing but unfortunately the contents of the bottle is not.

Summary: Steer clear as it's a waste of pennies
