Advantages: very cheap
Disadvantages: Not a nice taste at all
We don't usually buy the cheap lemonade from our supermarket, tending to buy the brand name. Having said that, when we saw Sainsbury's were selling a large bottle for only 18p we thought we'd give just the one bottle a try to see what it tasted like.
The bottle is very plainly and very simply packaged in white with the familiar orange bad. The pop is nice and fizzy and 'normal' lemonade colour. It smells like lemonade too but the taste is not so nice.
It leaves a sort of odd taste in my mouth, on my tongue and to the back of my throat. The little lad says it's nice and he really seems to like it but then he will say that of any fizzy drink you put in front of him.
My other half says it's okay bu that she prefers our usual brand. We bough this to try out to see what it's like for mixing drinks with for New Years Eve as we are having some friends to our house. I don't think though we will be serving this up with any alcohol as it'll ruin the taste.
It actually tastes like a cheap lemonade and if you hae actually tasted a bog standard cheap lemonade then you'll know exaclty what I mean. It also makes me want to drink either a cup of tea or a large glass of water afterwards due to the fac that it leaves this odd taste in my mouth which stays there for ages after I have drunk any.
I can't recommend this lemonade it's just too cheap and nasty.
Summary: Don't buy it
