Sainsbury's Coffee Viennese Style & Fig Seasoning
(227g)

Coffee is one thing I cannot buy one bag of even when I have many unopened coffee bags stored in my refrigerator. When I made my order from Sainsburys.com last time, I saw the offer: buy two Sainsbury's 227g coffee bags for £3, and I decided to benefit from it, especially that some of the flavors attracted my attention.

Normally, Sainsbury's Coffee Viennese Style & Fig Seasoning can be bought for £1.95 individually. So, I guess even when it's bought without the offer, it's still good value for money. However, if you decide to buy two bags of coffee before 24/03/2009, you will be able to benefit from the offer and save £1.

The bag is provided with a metalized tin tie, to help you keep it airtight by simply folding back the side tabs. As is the case with all other kinds of coffee, once opened, this bag can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. To prepare it in a coffee machine, use one rounded dessert spoonful per cup. As for cafetiers, please read the instructions on the bag.

The best thing about this coffee has to be the sweet aroma it has, but as is the case with most kinds of coffee, the smell is better than the taste. The strength of this coffee is 3-medium (on a scale from 1-mild to 5-strong). It is made from a blend of coffees medium roasted with 12.5% fig seasoning. I immediately notice the difference between this and the other kinds of coffee I buy which tend to be stronger. Sainsbury's Coffee Viennese Style & Fig Seasoning is somewhat mild and has a sweet taste; you can drink so much of it without noticing.

Is it recommended? It is a nice change from the usual coffee flavored coffee, and I enjoyed drinking it very much and finished the bag very quickly. Still, I don't think I can make this one my usual coffee, I will buy it again occasionally, though.

Other variations you can choose from if you want to benefit from the buy two for £3 offer from Sainsbury's:

1. Sainsbury's After Dinner Ground Coffee, for All Machines
2. Sainsbury's All Day Long Ground Coffee, for All Machines
3. Sainsbury's Coffee Beans, Premium Blend
4. Sainsbury's Continental Coffee Beans
5. Sainsbury's Decaffeinated Blend Coffee Beans
6. Sainsbury's Italian Roasted and Ground Coffee
7. Sainsbury's Omnigrind Coffee, Continental
8. Sainsbury's Omnigrind Coffee, Decaffeinated
9. Sainsbury's Omnigrind Origin Coffee French Style with Chicory
10. Sainsbury's Premium Blend Ground Cafetiere Coffee
11. Sainsbury's Premium Blend Ground Filter Coffee

Summary: Very good flavored coffee.

Sounds like it would make a change although this is an unusual sounding combination.
