DIDN'T QUITE GIVE ME A BOLT (Sainsburys 'Diet' Blue Bolt Energy Drink)

I tried this for the first time just right now, and I have to say I am not that impressed by it. I tend to drink Energy Drinks most days, especially work days. Today i'm not working, but since I am just up - late night last night, and needing a drink of Juice, this Can is much colder feeling than my unopened bottle of Juice. Although the picture has a Bottle on display, I am reviewing the Can, and i've not seen the bottle in the shop.

The brands I normally buy is Asda's, Tesco, or Emerge which is also sold in Asda. I do like the Original Red Bull, but that is so expensive compared to the Supermarket brand ones. This 250ml can cost me 37p from Sainsbury's, and it used to cost 44p.

The can design is alright. It is a slim line can, just like the other Energy Drinks on sale. It is silver coloured and has a Jagged Blue Bolt down the middle of it. The Sainsbury's writing is quite large and in red, so it stands out alright against the blue. On the front of the can it states that this is a high impact stimulation for mind and body and it contains taurine and caffeine. The caffeine content is 30mg/100ml, which I think is in all Energy drinks.

When I opened this I found it wasn't that fizzy and I thought it tasted a bit Bubble gum like. It is the same light orange colour as the other drinks, but I just didn't seem to have that normal zing to it. It smelt a little similar though.

Although I am undecided that these really wake you up and such, I just felt I got a kind of sour taste in my mouth, and I knew at that point I would stick to the other brands and leave this one in the shop.

Follows the same format, but seems to get it wrong.
