Watch out for the burp factor!! (Sainsbury's Diet Cloudy Lemonade)

Advantages: Lovely and refreshing, cheap

Disadvantages: Little too sweet for me

I usually don't like fizzy pop, but the other night i had a craving so today ordered some diet cloudy lemonade.

What do Sainsbueys say?
They say this is a carbonated low calorie lemon flavoured drink with sweeteners.

How much?
47p for a huge two litre bottle. There are only 8 calories in a 250ml serving.

What i think?
I know that all diet drinks are from the devil because of the rubbish sweeteners that are in them, but im going to avoid that subject as im dieting and i can't cut out everything. As you open the screw cap there is a satisying fizz. The drink it HIGHLY carbonated so watch out the first time you open. Once its poured into the glass you are met with a pungent lemon smell. For me i like to let the glass sit for a few minutes before drinking, otherwise i find it too fizzy and end up burping and thats not a good look for a woman! I'm not used to drinking full sugar drinks so can't compare, but this does taste very sweet and i think i would prefer it to be more tart. However the lemon taste is fairly natural, not artificial tasting (even though we all know better!!!). I could happily drink a couple of glasses of this in an evening if im off the alcohol. I couldn't to this with say coke or dandelion and burdock as they are just aren't as refreshing as this, well to me anyway. A bottle usually lasts on our house for no more than three days, so the bottle stays fizzy until we've drained the last mouthful. I'm not sure how this would measure up if you kept it for a week or so.

All in all a great refreshing drink, a little too fizzy and sweet but really not bad.

Summary: Good to have in the fridge for when you need a refreshing kick
