“ Beverages Type: Soft Drinks / Manufacturer: Sainsbury's „
Sainsbury's do a pretty good ginger beer which I have been drinking the past few weeks. I have managed to get through a bottle a week for the past three weeks. It comes in the standard looking plastic bottle which is two litres in size and costs me well under a quid. I like this because it is actually 'fiery' as it says on the bottle.
The bottle (and the cap) can be chucked in the recycling bin when it is empty and vegetarians will be pleased to know they can drink it too (as can vegans!). What I also personally really like about this drink is that it contains no sugar which as far as I am concerned is brilliant as I am still watching my weight since the New Year.
I always drink this served chilled - as I do with all my fizzy pops. I make sure I have left it in the fridge for a good while before I pour it out into a large glass. It is very fizzy, which I also like and the bubbles manage to last for ages in the glass after it has been poured out.
This drink is made from real extract of ginger and I personally think you can actually really tell this is the case. The taste and smell of the ginger is very strong and very distinctive and I really like it.
It is made with no artificial flavours and I am therefore happy for my little lad to drink it too. The taste is really fantastic, light and refreshing with a good ginger kick.
Sainsbury's Fiery Ginger Beer.
I was introduced to this ginger beer by a friend of mine who comes from Jamicia. Whilst i was feeling not so good, had tummy problems recently, and my friend said that this drink should help me, and indeed it did.
When i first tried Ginger Beer i brought the canned expensive variety and to be perfectly honest i find that this cheaper version tastes really good, amd i cant tell the difference between this and the more expensive brand.
It comes in a 2 litre bottle, currently to be found on the shelves in Sainsbury's and has no added sugar.
This drink is most suitable for vegetarians and vegans alike.
The plastic bottle and cap are widely recycled.
But the label is not currently recycled.
Store this in a cool dry place away from strong sunlight. Once you have openned the bottle keep this refridgerated and you must consume within three days. It is nicer served chilled.
This drink is made with real ginger extract, and the taste is lovely, i thought that being a fiery Ginger Beer it would have that burning effect on the back of the throat that some other Ginger Beers have, but it didnt and although there is a fiery taste, it is not in the least bit overpowering and does not have that burning effect at all. I think that you can taste the Ginger which adds to the flavour of this fizzy refreshing drink, and it has no artificial flavours.

How to discribe this drink is very difficult but it tastes like a fizzy lemony drink, although there is no lemons contained in this product with strong overtones of Ginger, if you like Ginger then you will definitely enjoy this Ginger Beer, I like to have mine in a glass with a slice of lemon, and it is fizzy and i just love the taste of it, cold on a hot day, it tastes refreshing, and sweet although not oversweet.
I buy a couple of bottles of this every week as i just like the taste of it, and the fact that it has few calories makes for a great drink.
