I purchased this product instead of my normal Tropicana saving myself almost £1.50 on a 1 litre carton. This product is 56p a litre at present and is an absolute bargain! It is basic packaging, a standard juice carton with the Sainsbury's basics logo all over it and telling you that it is orange juice made from concentrate. Upon opening the plastic milk carton style packaging there is a slight chemical smell but you can also smell oranges which is obviously a good start! The juice is smooth with absolutely no bits and looks a little watery when poured out in a glass. The juice smells just like oranges once out of the ... Read the complete review

I used to buy Tropicana orange juice, but since I've been trying to spend less money I 'downgraded' to 'from concentrate' orange juice. I never bought the cheapest orange juice as I expected it would have that strange 'bitty' taste that you can get with some orange juices. However, I thought I'd try the 55p Sainsbury's basic orange juice as it's half the price of any of the other orange juices on sale. ~ Taste ~ This 'basic' orange juice (6p per 100ml) tastes exactly the same as the normal own brand Sainsbury's orange juice (10-15p per 100ml based on the size of carton). I always buy fresh juice and I like the ones that are not from concentrate. I don't usually shop in Sainsbury's so I hadn't tried my juice until I found myself in there the other day with a few things to buy. The juice was the same price as the ones I usually buy and so I thought I would try them. They were £1.61 each but 3 for £4 so I thought that was a pretty good price for 3 as they are fresh and not from concentrate. I discovered they had an excellent range of flavours, much more than I have found elsewhere. They had the usual orange juice, apple, exotic fruit, grapefruit and they had apple and mango, pineapple and orange and mango which you ... Read the complete review

I like a glass of orange juice in the morning but i do not like to pay some of the silly pices for it. Some juices are up to £3 a carton of juice, thats ridiculous. Sainsburys basic orange juice is 56p and just as good. Orange juice is orange juice isnt it. Its a juice that tastes of oranges. You can not go wrong. For 56p for 1ltr why would you want to pay any more? The packaging isnt very exciting. It does not have fancy colours with pictures of anything at all. It is just a clear plastic bottle and a boring standard sainsburys basic label, or the carton is a white carton with the basic label on. The taste is, well of oranges. It ... Read the complete review
