... to keep in my little container in my new kitchen. But trying to cut down on a little money i saw a jar of this coffe 100grams for a mere £1.31p, so thought that i would grab it whilst i could, and that seemed really cheap. As i have already mentioned i am not really a great coffee lover, but when i got to my daughters and was making the hot drinks for all my family and friend, i openned this jar of coffee, which incidentally opens with a rescrewable lid, and was no problem to open. The first thing to hit me, w...more

Premium Review Sainsbury's Full Roast Instant Coffee: A Great Tasting cup of coffee. (459 words)

Sainsburys full roast coffee. My daughter was moving house yesterday, and i decided to take over all the necessary things that you dont remember to leave out when you move house. I popped into sainsburys for a few bits to take, having already been up early preparing a picnic for my little grandchildren, as i was looking after them and wanted to make sure that they were all happy and had something to eat, as i know that it can be the last thing on your mind when you are moving house. Having got the cups ready, for the adults, i purchased some Sainsburys full roast coffee (instant coffee granuels) i dont drink too much coffee, but usually buy ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Good firm, lousy coffee. (392 words)

I must say a resounding NO to this coffee. The main reason is that it tasts dusty, as if if were sweepings up from the floor. The main problem being the taste, there is no discernable coffee taste there at all, just a rather bitter grainy after taste, the colour is OK, same as Nescafe really, and the smell of sorts, but the sediment tends to give it away, there is too much "dust" left at the bottom of the mug. I have nothing against a little sediment, as long as I have already enjoyed my drink, but not in this case. The aroma, well, I shall just call it smell, it isn't pleasant at all, rather artificial, and not like the coffee I know at all. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sainsbury's Full Roast Instant Coffee: The only difference is the price! (536 words)

I do tend to drink quite a lot of coffee (although I am trying to cut down!) and over the years have always been in the habit of buying Nescafe. Just lately though, in these credit crunch days, I have been noticing just how expensive it has become and how much cheaper this Sainsbury's own brand is in comparison. Therefore, last time I was doing my weekly shopping in Sainsburys I thought I would try it just in case it was OK. I know that lots of people say that own brands are just as good as branded products and in fact they are often made by the same people but I'm not always convinced. Kelloggs Special K for example is far superior to any own brands that I ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Cheap coffee tasting nice (524 words)

I am an avid coffee lover, but my only problem is finding one that i like, i don't like the expensive brands, i prefer cheaper coffee as i don't find it as rich. The packaging --------------------- The packaging is really basic, the coffee comes in a see through jar, with a brown lid, like with most brands of coffee, as it matches the colour of the contents of the jar. The jar has a label round it, which is a very basic design, which is probably why the coffee is cheaper. It has the brand name on and also states what type of coffee it is. There is a basic cup of coffee on the front also. I do find the packaging very bland, but i ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Sainsbury's Full Roast Instant Coffee: A 24 hour drink despite the lies (655 words)

Sainsburys Full Roast coffee granules are available to purchase from Sainsbury. You probably guessed that from the name of the coffee but I'd be a remiss reviewer indeed if I didn't include that information. The strength of this particular coffee is 4 which stands for medium strength. What this is in comparison to I don't actually know. As with many caffeine based drinks this product is suitable for Vegetarians and I would imagine that it's also suitable for carnivores and omnivores as well although it doesn't expressly state this on the packaging. The guidelines on how to use the product advice you to add a teaspoonful of the granules to a ...  Read the complete review
