Lemonade for cheaper and still tastes nice...

Advantages: cheap, still tastes as good as more expensive brands, great as mixer and alone
Disadvantages: none - but too much sugar may send you to the dentists asap
I am a big sainsburys shopper and where I can I will happily buy their brand of items where they are cheaper and I don't think I am scrimping too much on quality. One of the products I am happy to do this with is Sainsburys lemonade, as for 1 litre bottle it is only 45p so it is cheaper than Schweppes or 7up (which to me taste the same anyway!) but is not the cheap, crappy range like Sainsburys basics.
The lemonade comes in a clear bottle with a blue lid and blue label which makes it look good quality. Opening the bottle a strong fizzy sound emanates and it smells very distinctly of lemonade. Pouring it into a glass, this lemonade is extremely carbonated and I have to pour out a bit, then it bubbles to the top of the glass which I wait a couple of seconds to go back down, and then I can pour the remainder out. This to me is always a definite sign of a cheap fizzy drink which will probably rot my teeth away but in moderation I don't mind this too much.
This Sainsburys lemonade is a nice version, and for me the compromise in price really is not reflected in the taste. It tastes just as lemony and flavoursome as a more expensive brand but just cheaper! I'm quite weird I like to mix lemonade sometimes with Ribena and this is really compatible as the lemon flavour is not too overpowering so as to make the mixture - bleurgh but they compliment each other for a nice fizzy ribena drink! (Not to be confused with the awful carbonated version of Ribena I tried once which was AWFUL.)
As a mixer with alcohol this also goes well, and I enjoyed it recently with my sister who received some vanilla smirnoff for Christmas and we wanted to test it out. A bottle of this doesn't really last long in our household but we have had it in the fridge for 24 hours + once opened and it didn't go flat which is a really good sign in my books! I do usually notice that cheap carbonated drinks go flat at the speed of lightening once opened but with this it is not the case.
Overall, I don't think I can fault this lemonade at all! Sure, its fizzy so bad for my teeth due to the high sugar content but as a cheap alternative to leading lemonades on the market for me it tastes just as good at a fraction of the price. Therefore I definitely recommend it :)
Summary: a lovely lemonade from sainsburys for those on a budget
