I love nothing more than a glass of orange juice with my breakfast in the morning, a bit of vitamin C to help kick start my day. I have found Sainsbury's 1 Litre Orange Juice with bit to be both good quality and reasonably priced, well at today's prices anyway. A 1 Litre carton will cost around £1.58. However, it is available as part of a long running 3 for £4.00 offer which means a saving of 74 pence.

Sainsbury's have recently launched new packaging to a range of their fruit juices and this also applies to their Orange Juice. A 1 Litres carton contains around 5 glasses which counts to one of your 5 a day. There are marks at various points on the carton to allow you to know when you have reached a glass full and therefore one of your 5 a day. I personally find this very helpful as I am always trying to improve my diet and find that it can often be lacking in enough fruit and vegetables. I personally think that this is also quite a novel idea and could interest children too.

A 200ml glass, which is roughly, one of your 5 a day is a good source of energy, protein and carbohydrate which I believe is important for kick starting your body at breakfast time. This is perfect for me and just what I am looking for in a drink at that time of the day. The sugar content is quite high as 20g is around 22% of your recommended daily allowance. A 200ml portion contains:

Energy - 90kcal
Protein - 1.2g
Carbohydrate - 20g
Total Sugars - 20g
Fat - 0.2g

The drink tastes great and I find it to be very refreshing. I also love the juicy bits, which gives it that freshly squeezed feel. It is equal to any other of the supermarket brands I have tried in a similar price bracket and I find it to not have such a bitter taste as the value or basic brands.
