All this is achived with a great balance between the two flavours without any sign of over sweetness which would have spoilt the over all effect. The 7% alcohol adds to the robustness of this beer without adding sweetness. A great trick if you can bring it off and Samuel Smiths have done it with some panache with this beer....more

This stout is the best I have had the pleasure of drinking in a long time. It really hit me between the eyes.
