I first came across Sapporo when I was eating at a sushi bar in central London. Having eaten in the bar many times before I was surprised to come across a lager I had never seen. I ordered one, drank it, throughly enjoyed it and asked for another. Eventually, sometime later, I managed to some how communicate that I wanted the bill. To my horror, each can had cost me £6. It was undoubtedly one of the nicest beers I have ever tasted. Its flavour was delicate, not over-powering and seemed to complement the sushi perfectly.
