Coincidentally, I read someone's rave review of this beer in a real-ale newlstter the same week I first came across it for real, in a pub in Norwich.

I do like dark beers provided they are not too sweet and treacly, and this one filled the bill perfectly.

The review I'd read was from someone who recalled it as one of his favorite pints from some years back, and now it's on my own very short list of beers that are so admirable that I can actually remember their names even though I've only drunk them once and very rarely see them available because I don't live in the area where they're produced.

This is definitely one I look for whenever I go in a pub I've not visited before.
