Advantages: A very nice Peach Schnapps.

Disadvantages: None.

Peach schnapps, this is one drink I buy every Christmas, a sort of tradition for some reason. I like the taste, and find that if I offer it to someone, they pretty much always seem to like it to. So it seems that many people still have yet to try it, this is a shame. I traditionally buy Archers, but picked up this one without realising it.

The schnapps comes in a standard 70cl wine bottle size, in the traditional glass bottle of course, it contains 21% ABV (Alcohol by Volume), so be warned, this is not a soft drink. The complete contents of the bottle equates to fifteen units of alcohol.

The Peach Schnapps bottle I am drinking from tonight, for "Research Purposes" is a normal bottle, but the label says "savanna" on it, I have no idea of the origins of this company, but there is also a Tesco logo as part of the label, this suggests to me that this batch was bottled especially for Tesco. By the way, Tesco sell this cheaper than anywhere else, so there has to be a connection,

There is also a suggestion for you to enjoy your Peach schnapps with crushed ice, with fruit juice, or with lemonade, or tonic water. Personally, I prefer it on it's own, served cold, in a small glass, to be savoured.

To identify it in the shops, remember it is a clear liquid, in an opaque glass bottle, with a red screw cap. You will find it next to the Archers, and it looks very similar. Only the price is different.

At this point, I usually refer you to the Company website, but in this case savanna do not seem to have one. This drink is available everywhere, and you will get it for about Six Pounds a bottle, and I heard of it going for £10 for Two bottles, which is very good value. Tesco even give you points as well. Every little helps!

Summary: As good as Archers but cheaper.
