Advantages: it tastes lovely

Disadvantages: -

I'm more of a Coke woman myself but if nout else is left in our fridge then I will opt for Lemonade rather than squash.

Schweppes has to be one of my favourite lemonades and I usually buy it whilst doing my weekly shop in Sainsburys for just £1 which I think is brilliant.

The bottle itself is a 2 litre, tall, see through plastic bottle which has a metallic silver sticker around it. The word Schweppes schweeps (haha OK I mean sweeps) across the front of the bottle on a swoosh of yellow and all this sits comfortably on the bottom layer of the sticker which is navy. On the front of the bottle it tells me it is orginal lemonade - made with real lemons.

Upon opening the bottle there is ALOT of fizz, no matter how thirsty you are don't be tempted to open it and drink straightaway as your cheeks are liable to puff up like a puffer fish due to all the air and your eyes will wince with the fizziness. Leave it a second or two then pour a 'cool' glass. I say cool as I prefer it refridgerated, I find it alot more refreshing if it's been in the fridge. I'm impressed I must say that the fizz lasts a good 2 or more days, no matter how many times I close and re-open the bottle it keeps it's fizz and freshness which alot of other brands don't have alot after the first hour or so.

So top marks for fizziness, what about the actual taste aye?

The lemony smell is what hits your first when opening the bottle, it's strong and pleasant - not overwhelming at all. This goes for the taste. It is a very refreshing lemonade to drink. The taste of lemons is apparant but not too strong and not sour at all. As you'd expect from a fizzy 'sugary' drink it has a sweet taste to it.

It works well as a drink on it's own or as a mixer with vodka. Some lemonades don't hide the bitter taste of vodka well whereas this one does. The lemonade overpowers the vodka making it a perfect mixer giving my alcoholic drink a pleasantly nice taste.

I'm not really one for counting calories etc I just eat and drink what I like but I am told on the side of the bottle that a 250ml serving of this contains;

46 calories
10.5g sugars
0.0g fat
0.0g saturates
0.1g salt

I think if you like fizzy drinks or just like lemonade in general you should really give this one a try whether you will be drinking it on it's own or as a mixer.

I have seen it in many other Supermarkets not just Sainsburys but not sure on prices.
