Advantages: Great price and nice non-metallic flavour
Disadvantages: Not as lemony as home made lemonade
Schweppes Lemonade is a well known brand of Lemonade, possibly the most popular in the UK available in most shops and supermarkets, it is available in normal or diet varieties and in varying sizes. Schweppes is part of the Coca Cola group although Schweppes was originally created in 1783 by Jacob Schweppes.
How does it look
You can buy in one, two litre or occasionally three litre bottles, the packaging is a tyellow Schweppes banner with silver and blue surrounding it, the packaging gives information about the ingredients and has a lovely picture of a lemon to remind us what we're drinking.
Price
I generally buy two litres for a pound in Iceland, although occasionally thety have special bottles that add 50% free making it 3 litres for £1.50 which is great value. You can also get two for one in tesco most of the time, and also in Asda.
Flavour
The Lemonade does really taste lemony, its a nice bubbly flavour, not metallic like some lemonades and not too heavy like some soft drinks, it is a lovely mixer drink and tastes great with vodka, added to wine or beer if you feel it needs diluting or added to fruit juice to give it a fizzy twist. Its lovely chilled too. It doesn't have the distinctive lemon taste of home made lemonade but is a nice refreshing drink never the less.
My View
I love Schweppes lemonade for some reason my whole family have always drunk it, it is a lovely mixer drink and I love it with fresh apple or orange juice, it is great value and its always handy having a bottle close by, I don't bother with the diet bottle it has a slightly harsher taste and is more metallic. Its a lovely lemonade and well worth a purchase.
