The other night I ended up at a bit of a spur of the moment flat party. One minute it was all civilised with a few couples sat about chatting, next there was vodka, cider and shots in great volumes and banging music resulting in some mad videos of us all made dancing like loonies! It was a great night actually though the hangover we all had was horrendous! Me,I ended up at the end of the night drinking half a bottle of wine as there was no alcohol left and as there wasn't very much of it at all left and I stumbled across this soda water in my mates fridge and thinking it was alcohol..... consumed it!
Ok so my first experience with this drink was alcohol fueled though since then I have been out and bought a couple of bottles myself to mix with alcohol or to have with lime and ice as a refreshing drink!
The soda water comes in a see though plastic bottle with a yellow twist on/off cap/lid to the top of it and black and yellow distinctive labeling to it and on the front of it we are told that it is Schweppes Original Soda Water and here is an at a glance nutritional cart shown (nutritionally this only contains 0.1g salt!). On the back of the bottle other information listed includes bing told a bit about the product, the size is stated (which in this case is a 1 litre bottle (and the only size I have seen this available to purchase in by the way), again there is another nutritional chart shown, ingredients are given and contact details for Schweppes are listed. Nice enough quality and informative bottle this is.
The Soda Water Itself:
All this is, is a clear water made from carbonated water and sodium bicarbonate and thats it! With a nice fizzy sound when you open this bottle up this has a very light sparkle to it providing it is stored correctly with the lid/cap on tightly and consumed within a couple of days.
Great for mixing with incidentally on the back of the bottle we are told that the lid/cap to the top of it equates to a 35ml measurement which is a single serving of alcohol so its handy! This has a clean, very slightly salty flavour to it which is delicate and leaves no weird taste in the mouth after being consumed. Its great for mixing with alcohol, lovely with juices and just slightly tangy. I like the freshness of this water though don't find it too fizzy or overpowering in the flavour stakes at all and I think its great quality and worth around its 80p price tag in all good supermarkets etc!
