... night at the folk club and it was so more-ish I had to pull in the reigns as the night went on. Superbly mellow. Another but with a little more bite to its taste is one that my son bought for me, WHYTE AND MACKAY. This is a double matured scotch blend and again, I moved through a litre of it within a week at the Whitby folk festival enjoying it so much that at the Fylde folk festival a week later, I bought a 70 cl bottle for only £10 and that will go tonight, or at least I will savour the most of it. There are no bad whiskys, only some are better than others. That was said to me a few years ago by a well seasoned scottish landlord and I have not forgotten his words. I have made an opinion on Single Malts and in particular the CLASSICS which, in my opinion, are the best. But here I would like to mention some that are superb yet do not seem to get the attention they deserve. The ISLE OF SKYE is a blended whisky which is beautifully smooth and mellow.
