There are no bad whiskys, only some are better than others. That was said to me a few years ago by a well seasoned scottish landlord and I have not forgotten his words. I have made an opinion on Single Malts and in particular the CLASSICS which, in my opinion, are the best. But here I would like to mention some that are superb yet do not seem to get the attention they deserve. The ISLE OF SKYE is a blended whisky which is beautifully smooth and mellow. It is, as the name implies a SKYE scotch and well worth a try. I had a few measures last night at the folk club and it was so more-ish I had to pull in the reigns as the night went on.
