Unique milkshake vendors (Shakeaway)

Advantages: Great atmosphere and taste

Although there aren't too many Shakeaway shops around the UK, if you do manage to find one, they are rather pleasant places if you're a lover of milkshakes! They're dotted around the country but easy to see if you're in its vicinity, because they have a very bright store design, normally characterised by a multi-coloured parasol of some variation.

Like any restaurant, you can observe the menu at a table or on the window outside, but what makes this an even more unique shop is their milkshake selection - you have the requisite milk and ice cream, and then you're able to choose to have any given number of things thrown into the mix, such as Cheesecake, Kinder Bars, and even Liquorish Allsorts (although heaven knows why!). The prices aren't particularly great, but you'll see in the first sip - if the impression isn't already gained by the very unique service they offer - where your money is going. I always grab a large, which costs £4 and comes with an extra scoop just to make sure you really have to put that extra sucking effort in to get your creamy reward!

The service I experienced was very efficient and friendly. Despite there being a sizable queue, we were served within about five minutes. Also, I praise them for their ridiculously comprehensive selection of milkshakes - there really is something for everyone at Shakeaway!

My only criticism is that there simply aren't enough stores - I only catch them occasionally when I'm on the road, because there isn't one that I've seen anywhere near me. Hopefully they will gain the reputation they deserve that will allow them to grow soon!
