Advantages: Makes a change from water with having hardly any calories in it!

Disadvantages: Quite sweet, but this is a lemonade drink!

On doing my weekly shop at the weekend, I decided to pop into my local Iceland shop and found that they were doing a lot of special offers on a wide range of items. With this Perfectly Clear Still being one of them at only 50p for a 2 litre bottle, I grabbed a few to put into my trolley.

Now we have got this in the past as sometimes you don't always fancy a sparkling drink and this is very nice when it has been well chilled in the fridge and sometimes makes a change from just plain water. I know that water is better for you, but with this only having 3.3 calories per 250ml serving it isn't that bad for you!

Now I picked up some Lemon & Lime and Peach & Mandarin. I was looking for their Red Apple one that I have got in the past as my youngest son ( now at uni!) couldn't drink enough of the stuff, but they didn't have any left in stock so maybe I'll pop back later in the week.

Now the Lemon and Lime is the one that I'm reviewing, now this comes in a 2 litre clear plastic bottle with ridges going round the bottle. It has a clear plastic label with a picture of slices of lemon & lime. The lid is a small bright yellow screw on plastic lid and on unscrewing this bottle you automatically expect to hear it fizz as you take the lid off. You get a really lemonadey smell as you pour some into the glass.

As it is called Perfectly Clear this is exactly what it looks like when poured into the glass, you could mistake it for a glass of water.It is quite sweet and you can really taste the two fruits of lemon and lime. I personally am not a keen lover of fizzy or still sweet drinks I would prefer to have a glass of cold water anyday, but having said that if this is the sort of drink you like then you should really love these Perfectly Clear Still drinks and at only 50p per 2 litre bottle you really can't go far wrong!

Once opened you should keep this bottle in the fridge and it should be consumed within 3 days of opening. It has a long best before date of May 2010. This drink was first introduced to us back in 1994 and is made with the companies own spring water from the foothills of the North Downs.The manufacturer of this is Silver Spring who also produce a large variety of different drinks like;

So if you fancy a cold fruity still drink then I would recommend this as it is all of those things!!
(Well not cold you will have to do that bit I'm afraid!)

I'll give this product 5 stars even though I'm not to keen, but that would be unfair to mark it down just because I'm not fond of this type of drink!

Summary: Nice when it has been well chilled on a hot summers day!
