Advantages: Nice bottle, I bought it cheap

Disadvantages: Flavour isn't good

At the moment I am trying really hard to cut down on my usual energy drinks and carbonated soft drinks such as Coke and so on in a bid to get myself a bit healthier. Tonight myself and my best mate popped into our local B & M store and one thing I was looking for was some bottled types of flavoured water and I can across bottles of this in various flavours costing a mere 29p a bottle which I thought offered great value for pennies. For the purpose of this review I shall review the lemon & lime one I'm just about to finish now!

The Packaging:

My bottle is a 500ml sports style bottle which of course means that it is see-through plastic and it has a white stopper to the top of it you pull up to drink out of or push down to stop the flow. On the front of the bottle there are pictures shown of lemons and limes and we are told of course what it is and that it is sugar free and with a new improved recipe and there is an at a glance nutritional chart shown. On the back of the bottle other information listed incliudes being told a bit about the product, the ingredients are listed (this is suitable for Vegetarians, Vegans and people who require a gluten free diet by the way), there is a full nutritional chart given and contact details for the manufacturer are listed.

The Drink Itself:

Well as promised this drink is perfectly clear. It looks of course like water and has no fizz or bubbles in it at all and soon as you lift that lid up to drink out of it you get a real fragrance of zesty limes hitting the nostrils.

However this really is very sickly sweet in my opinion and that sweetness tastes heavily of artificial sweeteners opposed to simple sugar and it does say on the bottle that it contains artificial sweeteners. To me they've been too heavy handed with this and it overpowers the otherwise fresh and zingy and tangy flavours of citrus that if it wasnt for the artificial sweetners in this would be really pleasant and very refreshing, however as it stands after consuming this I'm left with an odd tinny aftertaste that makes me thirsty for ages afterwards left in my mouth.

Best served chilled as its even viler when it gets to room temperature, I really do not like this one at all and the only good thing about it is that a 500ml bottle like I have in front of me has only 8 calories and no fat or sugars in it at all but me, I won't be buying this one ever again!

Available in a variety of flavours and in different sizes in all good supermarkets and discount stores like where I purchased mine.

Summary: Thought I'd love it but love soon turned to hate!
