Brewed in Truro since 1997, Skinners have now a wide range of different ales, one to fit every taste, however, Cornish Knocker is no exception, winning the 2008 South West Region Beer Competition held at Tucker's Maltings, Newton Abbot, and has since become somewhat of a flagship ale for the firm. As a regular traveller to Cornwall there are two things I tend to enjoy doing, when I can of course. The first is the most obvious - nights on the beach huddled around a small beach-fire - the second is a trip to any bar which sells Skinners ales. Over the years i've become somewhat of an ale connoisseur and Skinners is a refreshing change to what I'm used to.
