Me and my friend are on a diet at the moment, and we're always looking for low-fat, low-calorie substitutions that taste just as good (yes we fight this relentless task each and every day without fail), anyway, I was complaining to my friend about how I really fancied a hot chocolate, but obviously couldn't have one because we're trying to be quite strict with our diet and drop a few pounds before Christmas. Anyway she made me a mug of this Skinny Cow Hot Chocolate which she purchased from ASDA, and oh my goodness! It tastes really good, it's obviously not ideal to drink it if you're constantly used to having full fat hot chocolate but if you're just ... Read the complete review

After having tasted Cadburys and Nestles Aero hot chocolate drinks I decided it was time for a change. As Skinny Cow was a good deal cheaper than the other options it won hands down. Although I'm not a big drinker of the humble hot chocolate, as it gets colder I find them more satisfactory than your average cup of tea. Especially late at night. It comes in a 200g plastic tub which you can easily recognise the brand you're buying thanks to its bold cow print design. Like the other Nestle drinks the container has a dip in the middle, so it goes in and then out again. I have my suspicions that this could be so that they can put less in without making it too ... Whilst on a diet (one of many) I decided that a great way to give me my chocolate fix after dinner, without taking in loads of extra calories, would be to try hot chocolate. Having tried the Skinny Cow ice-creams, and been fairly impressed, I decided to give the hot chocolate a go. This stuff comes in plastic, screw-top jars with 200g of powder in it. The outside is patterned in the usual cow design, with a skinny-looking cow on the front of it. The instructions on the jar state that you should have two heaped teaspoons of chocolate powder for each mug. Then you simply add hot, but not boiling, water. I have found that the recommended amount of powder per mug ... Read the complete review

Well it's certainly getting into the cold weather, and since i'm not much of a Hot Drink person, I tend to stock up on the only Hot Drink I really like, which is Hot Chocolate. I normally stuck to Options, but seeing the Skinny Cow range recently, I ended up getting a few sachets. For those of you not familiar with the Skinny Cow range, i've only seen the branding on Ice Creams. They are low fat and low calorie treats that can be enjoyed as part of a calorie controlled diet. You can buy this drink in 10g sachets, which cost about 35p. Each sachet is 1 serving. You can also get this in a 200g plastic tub which costs around the £2 mark. I've tried the ... If you saw me walking down the street, 'Skinny cow' would not be the first thing your mind would conjure, of that i am certain. However, the intention to be a skinny cow is one i very much have, and was what i had in mind when i brought these hot chocolates. Now, lets face it. Hot chocolate is best with lashings of whipped cream, pieces of flake and marshmallows. However, in the calorie crazed world we all need to keep the intake down every now and again, and these might be just the thing. Packaging ~~~~~~~ Skinny cow hot chocolate comes in a 200g container which is shaped a little like an hourglass. The lid is sealed both on the ... Read the complete review
